Using windows 7 with the intel xp drivers offered on this site. I am not sure why that link says you need to connect 865hlc.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Jumpersiintel do not need to be connected in order for the rear audio ports to work. I checked bios to make sure onboard sound was enabled. The volume control from windows and soundMax shows that there is no problem with the sound, but my speakers don’t seem to be producing any sound.
