I had to rearrange my home office and had everything powered down and re-connected – now the speakers are not being recognized. I have tried the suggestion of deleting the system level preferences for Audio, but that hasn’t worked.

Nov 6, 8: The speakers just wouldn’t show up in the Sound options of System Preferences. Ask a question Reset. They “died” on my last week, was about to go buy “new” figuring that they were simply past being supported.
